At Beaches Beauty Salon, Paseo del Mediterraneo 91.

If you are looking for reasonably-priced teeth whitening in Mojacar, Spain, you're in luck!
I have just retired from practicing clinical dentistry on the Costa Blanca, but still enjoy helping people to get a better smile as simply as possible.
And I have put together a whitening system that makes things very simple - for less than half the usual cost of whitening at a dentist's office! To get teeth whitening at a dental surgery, the typical charge is €300 to €350. I am able to offer almost exactly the same treatment for €147. I am offering this service at Beaches Beauty Salon on the Paseo del Mediterraneo, 91 in Mojácar.
Also, if you already have some whitening splints from a dentist, I can use them for the full treatment at Beaches and for your take-home sessions.
OR, if you just want a top-up, I can order up some more whitening gel for you to use yourself at home, at €15 a tube or syringe, depending on the exact brand you prefer. I usually recommend PolaNight 16% gel, from SDI, which contains carbamide peroxide 16%.

Although I don't work in a normal dental practice anymore, I am still registered with the dental authorities in the Spanish province of Almería, and still have my professional insurance.
I am offering a simple and cost-effective way of whitening your teeth. How does it work?
First of all, over my 40 year career as a dentist, I have found that not everyone is suitable for teeth whitening. Some people just have teeth that will not whiten much, or else they have some caps or crowns on their front teeth that will not change colour, because they are made of porcelain.
SO, the first step is a FREE 15 minute consultation, where we can have a chat about your expectations for teeth whitening, and I can check your teeth to make sure you are a good candidate for a happy result.
What things might make you unsuitable for teeth whitening?
At the first appointment, if your teeth are suitable for whitening, I will offer you 1 of 2 possible options;
The First option is the Opalescence GO universal splint. Opalescence is a well-established and well-regarded American tooth whitening company. We start with an initial 'Blue Light' whitening session with "dentist-strength" whitening gel in the salon, to kick-start the process before you use the take-home kit. We do an 8-minute application, two times, one after the other.
Then you get a take-home kit of 20 pre-loaded mouth guards to use over the next 10 days. No tubes or syringes, no impressions for whitening splints. Just pre-loaded mouth guards that are ready to go and easy to use. I will show you exactly what to do, and explain everything in simple terms. I will even do a full demonstration on your own teeth, so you can see exactly what to do.
You don't HAVE TO use the home system every day - you could do it on alternate days, or even every 3rd day, if you prefer.
After you have used the 10 day home kit, you come back to the salon to get a 2nd booster 'Blue Light' treatment with our "dentist-strength" whitening gel back at the salon.

What's the second option?
The second option, if your teeth are not suitable for the standard whitening treatment, (Opalescence GO ) is to get custom-made personalized splints made up. This entails having some impressions (moulds) of your teeth, followed by another appointment a few days later for the first Blue Light treatment.
The custom-made splints involve an extra visit, but the charge is the same at €147, and we can use a slightly stronger strength whitening gel.
You get to keep the custom splints afterwards, and you can buy extra syringes of whitening gel in 6 months or 12 months (or whenever you want) to maintain the whiteness.
What's the difference?
If the standard whitening gel splints (Opalescence GO ) are a good fit for you, they are simpler and less intrusive to use.
However, if the standard splints are not a good fit for you, then the custom-made splints will give a better result. BUT you need to master the art of putting the correct amount of gel into each tooth space on the splint. Don't worry, I will show you exactly what to do!

Are there any disadvantages or risks?
Teeth whitening under the direction of a dentist is fundamentally safe as well as effective. However, there are a few points to be aware of;
After the total treatment time, you should see a clear lightening effect
on all your teeth. You can maintain this whiter smile at home with a 'mini-kit',
which you may like to do 3 to 6 months later, for just 4 days to maintain your whiteness. The Opalescence GO maintenance mini-kit costs €35.
If you already have whitening splints from a dentist, and you want to do the entire treatment again - ie. Blue light treatment in the salon, followed by 10 days treatment at home using PolaNight gel in your splints, followed by the Blue light treatment at Beaches again to finish up, this will cost the same as the standard treatment - €147. You will get 5 syringes / tubes of PolaNight gel to use at home, in addition to the 2 tubes required for the Blue light treatment sessions in the salon.
In any event, if you have whitening splints, you can also choose to pick up individual whitening syringes at €15 each. Each syringe of gel should give you two treatments for both upper and lower teeth. (You should use about a quarter of a syringe in each whitening splint at each whitening session.)
Whichever option you choose, you will end up with whiter teeth than before! It's up to you how quickly you want to proceed, and how white you want your teeth to go.
